New Delhi: Heat wave is being seen in many states of the country including Delhi. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of severe heat and heatwave till April 18 in Gangetic West Bengal, Telangana, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam. Apart from this, the effect of heat is also being seen in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana and Punjab.
How will the weather be in Delhi today?
At the same time, in the national capital Delhi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.2 degrees Celsius on Monday, which is one degree less than the average maximum temperature of the season. According to the weather office forecast, the sky will be partly cloudy on Tuesday and strong winds can blow at a speed of 20 to 25 kilometers per hour during the day. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi on Tuesday are likely to be 35 and 22 degrees Celsius respectively.
It may rain in Delhi on Friday-Saturday
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi is likely to remain cloudy with strong winds for the next five days. Although there is no chance of rain from Tuesday to Thursday, the sky will be partly cloudy with strong winds. Light rain and thundershowers are expected on Friday and Saturday. Despite the rain, temperatures are likely to rise again, with the maximum temperature reaching 38 degrees Celsius by Friday.
Rain and hailstorm alert in these states
The Meteorological Department says that rainfall will continue in North-West India in the next 24 hours. There may be rain and hailstorm in Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim today. There is a possibility of hailstorm at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir on April 18 and in Himachal Pradesh on April 18 and 19. Kerala and Mahe may receive heavy rains on April 18 and 19.
