New Delhi. After the announcement of Lok Sabha election schedule, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his election campaign with a powerful rally from Meerut. Addressing the public meeting, PM Modi targeted the opposition and alleged that Congress and its allies are bent on weakening the unity and integrity of the country. He said his recent actions have further strengthened this belief. Expressing his personal connection with Meerut, PM Modi recalled starting his election campaigns from the city for both the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He stressed that the upcoming 2024 elections are not just about electing a government but about building a ‘developed India’.
PM Modi highlighted India’s economic progress and said that when India was ranked as the world’s 11th largest economy, poverty was rampant. However, with India becoming the fifth largest economy, about 25 crore people were lifted out of poverty. He promised that with continued progress a strong and capable middle class would emerge in the country.
Highlighting India’s recent economic achievements, PM Modi announced, “India has now become the third largest economy. That’s why the whole country is saying ‘Cross 400 on June 4.’ PM Modi also presented the report card of the achievements of the NDA government in the last ten years. He cited the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, which was once considered impossible but has now been completed. He also mentioned fulfilling promises like One Rank One Pension Scheme and law on triple talaq for the welfare of Muslim women.
My family members across the country including Uttar Pradesh have made up their mind to give us a third opportunity to serve the public by voting for BJP-NDA. I am addressing a huge public meeting in Meerut.https://t.co/AQlY40HdzT
