St Lucia Kings have signed South African batsman Heinrich Klaasen and Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmed for the Caribbean Premier League 2024 ahead of the draft. Faf du Plessis, who played with the Kings last year, was not selected in the team due to injury, but he has been retained in the team for the next season. Namibia all-rounder David Wiese and Sri Lankan batsman Bhanuka Rajapaksa are also among the foreign players.
12 players confirmed before the draft
St Lucia Kings have 12 players for this season and five places will be filled in the draft in July. They have retained the main part of the Caribbean players, including Johnson Charles, Alzari Joseph, Roston Chase, Matthew Ford and Khary Pierre. Fast bowlers Shadrack Descarte and Mackennie Clark have also been retained. Colin Munro, who replaced du Plessis last year, has been released, as well as Sikandar Raza, Sean Williams and Chris Sole.
