There are more diseases in these months
When the rainy season comes after winter, spring and summer, it cools the scorching earth and reduces the heat of the earth. Most of the time during this season, clouds remain overcast and due to the sun not being visible, the humidity in the atmosphere increases. Greenery is seen everywhere but this season brings a lot of challenges for humans. Due to the disappearance of the sun’s brightness, it is a favorable time for bacteria, viruses, fungi, etc. to flourish. In this season, the number of people falling ill due to cold, cough, fever, upset stomach, diarrhea, vomiting, dengue, malaria, chikungunya, children and the elderly, who have low immunity, increases.

These two things have a bad effect
Dr. Samgandi says that due to the effect of heat before the rainy season, the problem of dehydration or lack of water in the body is most visible. But due to rain in the rainy season, the weather becomes cold and the humidity in the air increases. This disturbs the balance of Vata in the body. Due to lack of sunlight in this season, both Medhagni and Jathragni decrease, due to which both the mind and the body become unhealthy. Neither do we feel like doing any work nor do we feel hungry properly. At the same time, the digestive power of the body also gets disturbed. Drinking water becomes more contaminated due to the spread of dust and garbage and this water enters the body and causes various diseases.

Do these 7 things to prevent diseases

. observe a fast

Observing fasts during the rainy season removes bodily impurities and the digestive system works smoothly. That is why one should observe a fast once a week during the month of Saavan. Nowadays intermittent fasting is also in vogue, in which fasting is done for a few hours and then food is eaten. This is also beneficial.

. First digest, then eat
The next meal should be taken only after digesting the previous meal. If the excretion of urine and stool is proper, the body and mind feel light, the belching is clean, the body and mind feel enthusiastic, hunger and thirst are proper, then eat food after that.

. Eat fresh food, old grains
During these two months, eat fresh and hot food cooked at home and avoid eating outside. Eat old grains i.e. one year old wheat, barley, sorghum and rice. In dal, add cumin seeds, asafoetida, rock salt and ginger in cow ghee or mustard oil. Do not eat green leafy vegetables.

. Eat yogurt only during the day
During rainy season, sometimes eat curd during the day, do not eat it at night. Eat pickles, black salt, dry ginger etc. Do not eat fried food.

. Take special care of water
Dr. Samgandi says that in this season many diseases spread through water, so avoid drinking contaminated water. Boil the water and drink it lukewarm.

. Avoid these
– Do not walk barefoot on wet mud.
– Do not sleep during the day.
– Do more physical exercise.

Do these yogasanas and pranayama
In order to ignite the gastric fire in the rainy season, practising Padhastasan, Trikonasana, Ushtrasan, Uttamandukasan, Vajrasana, Shashakasan and Baddha Konasana and Setubandhasana leads to good toning of the stomach muscles, provides relief from all stomach related diseases, improves the digestive system and leads to good appetite.

Apart from this, the practice of Nadi Shodhan, Bhramari and Suryabhedhan strengthens the lungs, improves digestion and generates heat in the body. Also, it establishes a balance of Vata. It increases the flow of Prana Shakti and the mind becomes calm and stable.
