These days everyone is troubled by the extortion done by eunuchs at red lights, at every intersection and even in moving trains. If you give them money with love, it is fine, otherwise they do anything to insult the person in front of them on the road. These people do not ask for money in the name of mercy but extort money on the basis of hooliganism.
Mumbai Police has arrested 21 transgenders on charges of nuisance in public places in Navi Mumbai. The Anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of Navi Mumbai Police took this action. Police said that they had been receiving complaints for a long time that many transgenders make objectionable gestures to passers-by. They ask for money and behave indecently with people.
Police said that AHTC formed three teams and conducted simultaneous operations at various places including Uran Phata, Juinagar and APMC Truck Terminal and arrested 21 transgenders. 12 transgenders were arrested from Juinagar, six from APMC Truck Terminal and three from Uran Phata.
A case has been registered against all of them under Section 296 of the Indian Penal Code -BNS in CBD, Nerul and APMC police stations.
Action is already happening
This is not the first time that the police have arrested eunuchs on charges of dirty acts. Earlier also, the police have caught many eunuchs begging, misbehaving with people and looting people. There have also been cases where many people rob common people by pretending to be eunuchs.
