India One of the youngest children has become a millionaire, whose name is Ekagra Rohan Murthy. He is the son of Infosys founder N.R. Narayan Murthy has a four-month old grandson. According to regulatory filings, Narayana Murthy has gifted shares worth over Rs 240 crore to his grandson. Ekagra Murthy has got 15 lakh shares i.e. 0.04 percent stake in Infosys.
Share the idol as a gift to your grandson
The 77-year-old Infosys founder gifted shares to his grandson in an off-market transaction. With this, Narayana Murthy’s stake in the IT sector has fallen to 0.36 per cent or over 1.51 crore shares. Ekagra Murthy got a huge sum of Rs 243 crore at a price of Rs 1,620 per share on Monday. Narayana Murthy and his wife Rajya Sabha MP Sudha Murthy became grandparents in November last year, when their son Rohan Murthy and wife Aparna Krishnan welcomed a baby boy.
Sudha Murthy has become Rajya Sabha MP
Sudha Murthy took oath as Rajya Sabha MP last week in the presence of her husband. Sudha Murthy (73), former chairperson of Infosys Foundation and author of several books for children, was nominated to the Rajya Sabha on International Women’s Day last Friday. Sudha Murthy, renowned for her contribution to Kannada and English literature, has been honored with awards such as Sahitya Akademi Children’s Literature Award, Padma Shri (2006) and Padma Bhushan (2023). Sudha Murthy was the first woman engineer to work with Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company Limited (TELCO), a commercial vehicle manufacturing company. She gave her husband Rs 10,000 from her emergency fund to start Infosys, which now has a market capitalization of over US$80 billion.
