Aman became India’s youngest Olympian by winning an Olympic medal at the age of just 21.

Aman Sehrawat carried forward the tradition of Chhatrasal Stadium and won the first wrestling medal for India at the Paris Olympics. Even after losing his parents at the age of 11, he did not give up on his dreams and achieved success through hard work. At the Paris Olympics, Aman defeated Puerto Rico wrestler Darian Toi Cruz 13-5 in the bronze medal play-off and became the country’s youngest Olympic medalist at the age of 21 years and 24 days. In this way, he broke the record of P.V. Sindhu, who won the silver medal at the age of 21 years 1 month and 14 days.
Northern Railway gave honor
After this special achievement of Aman, Northern Railway has promoted him to the post of Officer on Special Duty (OSD). General Manager Shobhan Chaudhary gave him a letter of appreciation in an award ceremony organized at Northern Railway Headquarters. On this occasion, Principal Chief Personnel Officer Sujit Kumar Mishra also praised Aman and appreciated his hard work. Railway called this achievement of Aman a matter of pride for the whole country.
Promotion to other athletes too
Along with Aman Sehrawat, another athlete Swapnil Kusale who won bronze medal in Olympics has also been given double promotion by the railways. He won a historic medal in the 50 meter rifle 3 position event and was promoted from TTE to OSD. This achievement of Aman Sehrawat not only made the country feel proud but also became a source of inspiration for young players.
