New Delhi . South Africa’s experienced wicketkeeper batsman Quinton de Kock’s explosive performance continues in the T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8. De Kock stole the show by scoring his second consecutive half-century in his second match of the Super 8. He scored a fifty in just 22 balls in the ongoing match against England. He was out after scoring 65 runs. He hit 4 fours and four sixes in 38 balls in this innings. Earlier, in his first match of the Super 8, de Kock scored 70 runs in 40 balls against America.
In this match being played in St. Lucia, England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and asked South Africa (England vs South Africa) to bat first. Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks gave South Africa a great start. Both completed the team’s fifty in the 5th over. England’s score in 10 overs was 87 runs without any loss.

De Kock got a lifeline on 58
Quinton de Kock got a reprieve on a personal score of 58. Mark Wood gave him a reprieve on spinner Adil Rashid’s ball. On the second ball of the 9th over, de Kock tried to play a big shot which Mark Wood caught a few steps away from the boundary. The field umpire had given de Kock out but de Kock requested the umpire to send it to the TV umpire. The third umpire felt that Mark Wood could not take a clean catch. In such a situation, de Kock was declared not out.
