Group A Streptococcus (GAS) is the cause
WHO has been informed by many other countries in Europe about an increase in the cases of Group A Streptococcus disease, a part of which is Streptococcal Toxic Shock Syndrome. According to WHO, an increase in its cases has been observed since the restrictions imposed due to Corona were lifted.
