Dr. Vidya Gupta, a home science expert posted at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Niyamatpur, said that calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, vitamin C and abundant amounts of vitamin B such as thiamine, riboflavin, folic acid, niacin and vitamin B6 are found in jamun. Jamun fruit is very beneficial for diabetic patients. Apart from this, it increases the level of hemoglobin. It is helpful in controlling weight and is also very beneficial in respiratory problems.
