Meerut. In western Uttar Pradesh’s Lajpat Rai Medical College Meerut, better health facilities are being provided to the patients amidst modern facilities on the instructions of the government. In this series, soon the seriously burnt patients will also be provided treatment in the medical college amidst modern facilities. Patients will not have to depend on Delhi or private hospitals for treatment. All the facilities will be available at one place. For this, a special burn unit has been established in Lajpat Rai Medical College.
Focus on giving better treatment to the patient
Lala Lajpat Rai Medical College Principal Dr. RC Gupta told Local 18 that the department’s focus is to provide better facilities to the patients. Earlier also, all the facilities were being provided to the patients in the Super Specialty Block. But it was seen that patients had a lot of trouble in moving from one place to another. In such a situation, now all kinds of facilities will be available at one place. Patients can be shifted to the ward after better treatment in the OT. At the same time, there is also a radiology department and a central laboratory near it. From examining the patient’s samples to any other type of radiology related test, it will also be done nearby. This will provide better treatment facilities to the patients on a primary basis.
Every kind of treatment is possible
Dr. Gupta said that high level specialists are already present with the college. In such a situation, even severely burnt patients will be able to get treatment here. He said that sometimes a person gets so burnt that he has to undergo plastic surgery, which will also be possible here. He said that the patient will get treatment here as per the facilities provided by the government. On the other hand, if we talk about plastic surgery and other treatments in comparison to private hospitals, then there will be negligible charges here. He said that two OTs have been arranged in this building. In which a ward of 6 ICU beds and 20 general beds equipped with modern technology has been made.
