The International Hockey Federation has stated in its press release that Amit Rohidas was suspended for one match for violating the FIH Code of Conduct during the Great Britain match. He will not participate in the semi-final match against Germany. India will play with only 15 players. But Hockey India has challenged their decision.
After Amit Rohidas received a red card, the Indian hockey team played with 10 players against Great Britain and performed well. Captain Harmanpreet Singh displayed a strong game for the Indian team. He scored a goal in the 22nd minute. But after this, Great Britain’s Lee Morton scored a goal and equalized the score to 1-1.
