Raj Bhavan of Rajasthan has taken a tough stand on the working style of departmental secretaries of the state government, Vice Chancellors and Total Secretaries of Universities. Raj Bhavan has recently issued a strict warning, stating that if the letters sent from Raj Bhavan are not responded to on time, disciplinary action will be taken against the officials concerned. This working style of departmental secretary, vice -chancellor and total secretaries falls under the category of insults.
The circular issued from Raj Bhavan states that many departmental secretaries and university officials are not taking the letters sent by Raj Bhavan seriously. The letters are not being responded to on time, due to which the works of Raj Bhavan are being interrupted. Raj Bhavan has considered it a contempt of the post of Governor and has said not to tolerate it.
Raj Bhavan has given clear instructions to all the concerned officials to give top priority to the letters sent from Raj Bhavan and answer them on time. Raj Bhavan has also said that if an officer does not follow this instruction, strict action will be taken against him.
Following this warning of Raj Bhavan, there has been a stir in state government officials and universities. Many officials have started responding to pending letters sent from Raj Bhavan. This move of Raj Bhavan is expected to increase transparency and accountability in the functioning of the state government.
