New Delhi. If you are travelling on a national highway and you find waterlogging or landslides somewhere on the way, then there is no need to worry. You can directly complain to the National Highway Authority of India through the app. This will be resolved immediately. The Ministry of Road Transport has created a monsoon management system for the convenience of drivers.
During rains, there are incidents of waterlogging in plain areas and landslides in hilly areas on the National Highway. NHAI has made preparations to deal with both situations. According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, during the monsoon season, NHAI officers and employees will keep inspecting the National Highway in collaboration with the concerned agency of the state government. So that the problem can be resolved immediately on receiving a complaint.
To avoid waterlogging or flood-like situation on national highways, NHAI is conducting joint inspections with the state irrigation department to ensure that the flow of any river is not obstructed by the newly constructed highway. Along with this, complaints can also be made on the Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) and Highway Travel App.

To provide effective solutions in both hilly and plain areas, NHAI is working in coordination with agencies, local authorities and administration to quickly move machinery and men to flood/landslide affected locations.
Deployment at potential locations
In hilly areas, the district administration has coordinated and deployed staff with adequate machines at each landslide prone site. Which will work for 24×7 connectivity and safe and smooth movement. Along with this, temporary barriers and warning signs have been installed in every landslide prone area.
