Brain stroke or brain hemorrhage is occurring due to high BP. Every day 10 patients are coming to RML Hospital with brain stroke.
Often when someone gets angry, you must have heard them say that their blood pressure is high and people leave it at that. People think that once the blood pressure has increased, it will come down and everything will be fine, but according to health experts, once the problem of high blood pressure has started, it is the biggest mistake to ignore it considering it normal. High blood pressure has become the biggest enemy of your brain and your life. This is the reason why the number of such patients is increasing daily in Delhi’s RML Hospital.
Dr. Ajay Chaudhary, head of the Neuro Surgery Department at Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, says that blood pressure is the most sensitive issue because if the BP increases too much, it has a direct effect on the brain. Due to increased BP, the vein of the brain bursts and hemorrhage or stroke occurs. Blood pressure is the reason in 70 to 80 percent of hemorrhagic stroke cases. It is especially seen in Indian patients that if a patient is given medicine to control BP when blood pressure increases, then people stop taking the medicine as soon as they get relief. After this, as soon as the BP suddenly triggers, then there is a problem of brain hemorrhage or brain stroke.

Stroke patients are coming to the hospital every day
Dr. Chaudhary says that patients of brain stroke are coming to RML every day. In this season, about 10-11 patients come every day, while this number increases in the winter season. The history of most of these cases shows that they had BP problems, medicine was also prescribed but for some reason they could not take it regularly and stopped it midway. This is the data of only one hospital, if you take out the data of other hospitals in Delhi and India, you will see that this is a very large number.
Advice was given on Doctors Day
Dr. Ajay Chaudhary said, on Doctors Day I had also given an advice that just like security checks are done in multiplexes, malls or other places, BP checks should also be done in the same way. Check the BP of the people there and do not allow those whose BP is high. They should be told to come when their BP is under control. By doing this, people can be motivated or say forced to control their BP.
