Devotees come to this temple in large numbers during the month of Chaitra. Archaeologists shifted 9 statues to Kolkata Museum for safety reasons. This temple is considered a symbol of Tantric worship. The main feature of this temple is Satvik Bali. Here first the sacrificial goat is brought in front of the idol of the goddess. Then the priest touches the idol of Mother Goddess and throws some rice grains on the goat, due to which the goat becomes unconscious. Then after some time Akshat is thrown on it and the goat stands up. Just like this the process of sacrifice is completed.
