New Delhi. Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has called the opposition to the Agneepath scheme for army recruitment as meaningless politics. He said that some people are trying to spread anarchy in the country through this protest. The yoga guru, who attended the Yoga Week program organized by Delhi University on Wednesday to commemorate the eighth International Yoga Day, said that there should be yoga in politics, but politics should not be in yoga. Along with Baba Ramdev, Union Culture and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal was also present in the program as a special guest.
Yoga guru Ramdev said here in the presence of university vice-chancellor Professor Yogesh Singh and other teachers, “If the protesters opposing the Agneepath scheme had done yoga, they would not have resorted to violence. Some people are spreading anarchy in the country. These people want to spread anarchy to remove Prime Minister Narendra Modi from power.”
According to the Union Defense Ministry, the Agneepath scheme has been designed to enable the youth profile of the armed forces. Under the Agneepath scheme, youth will get an opportunity to serve for 4 years in the armed forces. Under the Agneepath scheme, the youth who are recruited in the armed forces will be called Agniveers. The Center says that the Central Government, State Governments and Industry are working together to connect the youth with other new job opportunities after 4 years of service and for their bright future.
Giving importance to Yoga, the Union Education Ministry is going to introduce Yoga as a compulsory subject in schools across the country. On this subject, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that preparations are being made to make yoga a part of the curriculum from Bal Vatika to class 12th. Yoga will not be included as an optional, but as a compulsory subject for school students. The Union Minister said, “To make Yoga a part of daily life, it is necessary that research and discussions on Yoga continue in our universities and educational institutions.”
