James Anderson Test Career: England’s superstar fast bowler James Anderson has announced his retirement from Test cricket. He has announced this through a personal statement. He will retire from cricket after the Test match against West Indies at Lord’s. Anderson’s Test career lasted 21 years. During this period, he has won many matches for the England team on his own. He has been capable of taking wickets on any pitch in the world.
Anderson himself made a big announcement
“Just a note to say that the first Test of the summer at Lord’s will be my last Test,” James Anderson posted on Instagram. It has been an amazing 20 years playing for my country. I have had great moments playing the game which I have loved since childhood. I will miss walking out of the dressing room for England. I know now is the right time to let others achieve their dreams.

41-year-old James Anderson made his Test debut for England at Lord’s in 2003. So far, he has taken 700 wickets in 187 test matches for England. He is the only fast bowler in the history of Test cricket to take 700 wickets. Even at the age of 41, his agility on the field is evident. Anderson is an adept player in swing throwing.
