Ugandan team’s off-spinner Frank Nsubuga is currently 43 years 278 days old and he is also the oldest player playing in the tournament this time. Uganda’s team has got a place in Group-C in the mega event, in which it has to play its first match against Afghanistan on June 4. If Frank is a part of his team’s playing 11 in this match, then he will become the second oldest player to play in the T20 World Cup as soon as he enters the field, in which he will break the record of Chris Gayle and Brad Hogg. While Gayle played his last match in the T20 World Cup at the age of 42 years 17 days, Hogg played his last match in this mega event at the age of 43 years 34 days. Currently, the record of playing a match as the oldest player in the history of ICC T20 World Cup is in the name of Hong Kong’s Ryan Campbell, who played his last match in the World Cup played in the year 2016 at the age of 44 years 98 days.

Talking about Frank Nsubuga’s cricket career, he has played a total of 54 matches in T20 Internationals for the Ugandan team, in which he took 55 wickets at an average of 16.03. In batting, Nsubuga has scored 158 runs so far at an average of 9.87. The Ugandan team will start their campaign in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 with a match against Afghanistan on June 4, after which they will play their last group match against Papua New Guinea on June 5, West Indies on June 9, while the team will play their last group match against New Zealand on June 15.
