Meerut: There are many such trees and plants on the earth, which are considered to be of great importance both religiously and Ayurvedic. A similar mention is also found of a plant called Varna i.e. Varun. Grinding its bark and making a decoction cures various types of diseases. Today, we will learn about this plant from Professor Vijay Malik, Head of the Department of Botany running in the Chaudhary Charan Singh University campus, who has been continuously distributing and studying Ayurvedic plants to the students for the last 25 years.
Decoction has important uses
Professor Vijay Malik explains that a plant called Varna is considered very important in Ayurveda. It is also mentioned in various books. If the bark of this tree is used, various types of diseases can be cured. He told that if its decoction is used, liver related problems can be cured. At the same time, it is considered a major tonic for keeping cardio i.e. heart healthy. You can grind the bark of the tree well and add it to a glass of water.
There is a panacea for these diseases also
Professor Malik told that the bark of this tree is used in both Ayurveda and Unani methods. Its decoction is also considered very good for diabetes patients. If anyone has any kidney related problem. It also proves helpful in curing it. Also, if someone has tonsils or any other type of infection in the throat, then it can also be cured with the decoction.
Its decoction is helpful in eliminating any type of pain in the body. However, its leaves are not used in Ayurveda. Leaves and flowers are used only in religious worship.
