Dr. Vidya Gupta, Home Science Scientist of Agricultural Science Center, Niamatpur, said that iron, vitamin C, vitamin B, vitamin E, potassium, magnesium, protein, mineral salts and many other vitamins are also found in spinach. Spinach contains oxalic acid. Due to which calcium is not found in it. Antioxidants are also found in sufficient quantity in spinach. Because of which spinach is called super food.
Spinach reduces the risk of heart attack
Due to Vitamin A found in spinach, it is very beneficial for improving eyesight. Apart from this, due to the anti-oxidants found in it, it strengthens the immunity. Due to the element nitrate found in spinach, it also reduces the risk of stroke and heart attack to a great extent.
Spinach protects from diabetes and obesity
Consuming spinach regularly also provides relief from serious problems like cancer, heart disease, diabetes and obesity. Dr. Vidya Gupta told that consuming spinach regularly cures anemia. Apart from this, it also protects from diseases like diabetes.
Excessive consumption can cause kidney stones
Dr. Vidya Gupta told that a healthy person should consume only 100 grams of spinach daily. Do this only 2 to 3 times a week. Consuming too much spinach can cause problem of kidney stone formation.
Consumption of spinach can also be harmful
Even though spinach is very beneficial, people suffering from diseases related to joints and bones should not consume spinach. So only those who are suffering from heart diseases. Are taking blood thinning medicines. They should also not consume spinach.
