Betul (Navduniya representative). Due to the negligence of the Revenue Department in the district, illegal colonies are being constructed indiscriminately. People are building houses by buying plots under the guise of colony builders, but due to lack of basic facilities, they are also being forced to face problems every day. Two months ago, the Municipality had written a letter to the SDM to take action against those who built six illegal colonies in the city. So far, the SDM has not taken any action against those building illegal colonies. Now the final notice is being issued by the Municipality to those who build illegal colonies. Even after this notice, if development works are not done in the colony, then FIR will be lodged against the concerned. Municipality CMO has written a letter to SDM Betul on November 12, 2021, informing that site inspection was done by technical staff in various wards of the city in building permission cases. During this it was found that illegal colonies are being constructed by illegally selling small plots by some colonizers. In relation to the construction of illegal colonies against these colonies, a request was also made to register first information and take legal action under the rules of the government. These colonizers include Shraddha husband Bhikhulal Rathor, Durga Ward Khanjanpur, Raja, Ganesh-Rakesh father Manohar Navagre, Rajan father Anil Sisodia, Avinash father Chandrakant Soni, Khanjanpur Sports Welfare Department near Hostel Durgaward, Smile brother father Mustansir Bhai Bakhani Wala, Bhujaliya Ghat Near Ambedkar Ward, Rajesh Verma, Ajay Singh, Rakesh Rathor, Kuldeep’s father Chironji Suryavanshi, Pavandham Colony, Moti Ward Chakkar Road. Due to no action being taken against them from the SDM office so far, the municipality is now preparing to issue a final notice to the colonizers. In fact, keeping the rules fixed by the government, the colonizers cut the plots in the colony. People who have built their houses are not getting basic facilities. The government has also started the process of legalizing the illegal colonies, but till now the development works are not being completed by the illegal colony builders. There are some colonies in the city which are not meeting the criteria set by the government. Basic facilities are not available to the people living here, due to which many difficulties are coming to the fore to make the colonies illegal. The municipality had issued notices to six colonizers of these colonies of the city, but till now the prescribed process has not been completed. Now the municipal team will discuss with the residents of these colonies and get information about the facilities from them.
A case will be registered against the colonizers. On the instructions of the Collector, the Municipality is again issuing notices to the colonizers. For development work in illegal colonies, 70 percent amount has to be spent by the colonizer and the remaining amount is to be borne by the residents. Even after this, if the colonizer does not complete the development work in the colony, then if the municipal team is free to inspect and register a crime with the police.
