There was a stir in Sikar district of Rajasthan when the Collectorate premises were threatened with RDX. This threat came at a time when an important meeting of the Chief Secretary of the state Sudhanshu Pant was to be held in the auditorium of the Collectorate campus. After the threat, the Collectorate premises were immediately evacuated and security agencies have started search operation.
Threatening threatened by mail or call
According to the information received, through which medium was threatened to blow up the collectorate, it is being investigated. Preliminary reports are reported to have been threatened by email or unknown calls, claiming that the RDX explosive substance was placed on the campus. In view of the seriousness of the threat, the administration immediately evacuated the campus, not taking any risk.
Search operation going on in tight security
Soon after the incident, the team of police and bomb squad reached the spot and intensive search of the entire campus including the Collectorate building was started. Every room and corner is being closely examined with the help of dog squad, metal detector, and other high-tech equipment. So far no explosive material has been found in the campus, but the administration has not been relaxed as a precaution.
Chief Secretary meeting postponed
The meeting of State Chief Secretary Sudhanshu Pant, which was to be held this afternoon, has been postponed for security reasons. Officials said that preparations were already going on for the meeting, but due to the threat, the program has been postponed further. Sudhanshu Pant’s Sikar tour is also currently under review.

Giving information to the media, the District Collector and SP of Sikar said that the threat is not being taken lightly. The investigation of the case has been handed over to cyber cell and intelligence agencies.
