Jaipur . Noted ‘spiritual guru’ and Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam has targeted Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
Acharya Pramod is considered close to party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. In his tweet on Sunday, Acharya Pramod, commenting on the recently released Chief Minister’s statement, said, “Threat of resignation before resigning is like blackmailing the party high command, Chief Minister.”
Two days ago, Gehlot said in a program, “My resignation is already with Sonia Gandhi”.
This tweet of Acharya Pramod Krishnam is being considered as a sign of increasing tussle in Congress. This is not the first time that pilot supporter Krishnam has targeted Gehlot. Even before this, Krishnam has been openly demanding to make Sachin Pilot the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. This time instead of raising the demand to make Pilot the CM, he has targeted Ashok Gehlot.
Sachin Pilot had a meeting with Sonia Gandhi last Thursday, in which the formula reportedly shared by political strategist Prashant Kishor was discussed to bring forward the youth leaders. During this, the strategy for the next election was also discussed.
However, Gehlot called these discussions rumours.
Gehlot had said at the Revenue Service Council convention on Saturday, “Rumors keep going on. You don’t have to pay attention to them. Rumors go that the government is changing, the chief minister will change. Don’t worry. I am that person, when 1998 I became the Chief Minister for the first time, Sonia Gandhi gave me a chance to become the Chief Minister thrice, so I have authorized her since that time. My resignation is with her (Sonia Gandhi) only.”
Gehlot was speaking in the wake of rumors about a change of leadership in Rajasthan after former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot’s meeting with Congress President Sonia Gandhi in Delhi recently.
He further said, “You may think, it should not come again and again that the Chief Minister is changing. What is happening? When the Chief Minister has to be changed, no one will even hear. Don’t fall for it. I’ve been listening to rumours for two-three days.. this has happened, that happened. People get confused by rumours for no reason. Governance makes a difference.”
