Morena (Rep. of New Zealand). Relief news has come about the students of Morena trapped in Ukraine. The three students of Morena, trapped in the Russo-Ukraine war, will return home today i.e. on Friday. The three students have left for Delhi from Bucharest, the capital of Romania, on Thursday evening. As soon as this news was received, the relatives of the students left for Delhi to receive them.
It is worth noting that more than half a dozen students of Morena district, who have been trapped in Ukraine after the Russian attack, have gone to study medicine in Ukrainian medical colleges. These include Yogmaya Upadhyay, daughter of Dr. Padmesh Upadhyay of district hospital, Vedanta Kulshrestha, son of Mukesh Kulshrestha, head accountant of RS Industries, Parashar, resident of Gandhinagar, Aman Sharma, son of Dr. Vasudesh Sharma, private clinic operator of Kailars, Atul son Mukesh Gaur, resident of Sabalgarh and Bhanu’s son Dr. Satish Sharma, a resident of Bilgaon in Jaura, was trapped in Ukraine. For about three days, many of these students stayed in a three-storey building near the Indian Embassy in Kyiv city. In the midst of the war, the students, who were suffering from hunger and thirst, left for Poland and Romania to be safe. Meanwhile, the Indian government started Operation Ganga and started evacuating Indian students trapped in Ukraine. Vedanta Kulshrestha, Yogmaya Upadhyay and Samamna Parashar of Morena city received a Delhi-bound flight from Bucharest airport on Thursday evening. Apart from this, Atul Gaur, a resident of Sabalgarh, has reached Delhi only on Wednesday evening. Saurabh Kulshrestha, brother of Vedanta Kulshrestha, who was stranded in Ukraine, told that this flight will arrive at Delhi airport at 9 am on Friday. Dr. Padmesh Upadhyay has also reached to pick up his daughter Yogmaya at Delhi airport.
