New Delhi. Trinamool Congress has hit back after Vikas Ranjan Bhattacharya, the lawyer of the victim’s family in the heinous case of rape of a female doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College, made serious allegations against the Mamata Banerjee government. Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Saket Gokhale wrote on a social media post, “Wait – who is this ‘lawyer’? This is Vikas Ranjan Bhattacharya – CPI (M) MP and party’s floor leader in Rajya Sabha. Now he has got the open support of a BJP leader and former Union Minister.
Wait – who is this “lawyer”?
He’s Bikash Rajan Bhattacharya – CPI(M) MP & Floor Leader of the party in the Rajya Sabha.
Now he gets the open support of a BJP leader & former Union Minister.
How’s the BJP collaboration with the Left in Bengal coming along, @RajeevRC_X yes? pic.twitter.com/W1GjDMaFMI

Along with this, Gokhale tagged former BJP MP Rajeev Chandrashekhar and asked him how is the alliance of BJP with the leftists going on in Bengal? Actually, Rajeev Chandrashekhar had shared the post of the victim’s family’s lawyer Vikas Ranjan Bhattacharya on his social media account in which he had made serious allegations against the Mamata Banerjee government. Vikas Ranjan Bhattacharya had said that the role of CM Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal is very condemnable. Wherever a rape incident happens, she immediately contacts the victim’s family and wants to suppress the case by giving them money.
Bhattacharya said, unfortunately the Chief Minister of West Bengal has fixed a rate card for rape victims and she tries to buy witnesses by giving them money. Let us tell you that this case is being investigated by the CBI. CBI reached RG Kar Medical College with a 3D scanner this morning and collected evidence there. After this, a CBI team including two women officers reached the house of the deceased doctor and met the victim’s parents. Former Principal of the Medical College Dr. Sandeep Ghosh appeared before the CBI for questioning for the fourth time today.
