Ramkumar Nayak/Raipur: These days the heat is showing its wrath in Chhattisgarh. The period of continuous increase in temperature continues. With increasing heat, the relationship between sweating and skin diseases also becomes deeper. Actually, people have skin related problems during the summer season. Cases of fungal infection due to tight clothes and sweat are increasing in Mekahara Hospital located in the capital Raipur. Our skin can get damaged not only in winter but also in summer. In such a situation, it is very important to take care of the skin. By making some changes in our daily routine, we can get rid of skin diseases occurring during summer.
Skin disease specialist Assistant Professor Vinod Kosle said that it is very important to take care of the skin during the summer season. Because in summer it has been seen that most of the cases occur due to sun burn or sun tanning. In such a situation, the advice to people would be that whenever you go out in the sun, first moisturize your body and then apply waterproof sun screen. During summers, cases of dehydration occur which directly impacts our skin. To avoid dehydration, one should keep drinking water at an interval of one hour. If coconut water is available as an alternative, it is even better.
Skin problems due to medicine consumption
Skin disease specialist Assistant Professor Vinod Kosle further said that the number of patients suffering from fungal infections increases in summer. While advising the patients to avoid fungal infections, Dr. Vinod further said that instead of wearing jeans or tight clothes, they should wear breathable cotton clothes. The more we protect ourselves from summer sweat, the chances of getting fungal infections will reduce. Also, one should not buy medicines from outside market or from medical sources and use them without medical advice. Because consuming medicines without medical advice can worsen our skin.
