How did this idea come about
In a conversation with CNBC, Matthew said that the most important thing is to get a return on investment. What did we get in return for the money we spent. I am very happy with the support I am getting from small businesses. However, pizza was not the only option for this. But, I am happy that it worked and people started talking about my company.
Marketing felt expensive
Matthew said that when he bought 1,000 pizzas to send to companies, he felt that his marketing expenses were going out of budget. But, when you start getting results, expectations also increase. I agree that this was different from traditional methods, but I was sure that no person who received the pizza was crazy. Obviously, their perspective of looking at my company can change.
What was the client’s viewpoint
Rahul Sonawalkar, CEO of Julius AI, a San Francisco-based data analysis startup, who received pizza from Matthew and became a customer of his company Antimetal, said that when I first received Antimetal’s proposal, I ignored it. But, when the pizza came to my office, I saw about Antimetal on social media and felt that I should move forward with this company.
