Baloch rebels in Balochistan, Pakistan have announced a war against the army. They attacked several government establishments in Balochistan late on Tuesday night. There are also reports of explosions in many places in the state. The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has taken responsibility for the attack. BLF has said that it has started a “Operation Bomb” against Pakistan. Under this campaign, there have been at least 17 attacks in various districts of Balochistan including Panjgur, Surab, Katch and Kharan. However, Pakistani officials have not yet confirmed the entire limit of loss.
Attack in many places in Balochistan
Local people have confirmed the attack across Balochistan. BLF has mainly targeted Pakistani military posts, communication lines and government offices. BLF spokesperson Major Guaram Baloch described the campaign as “a new dawn in the Baloch National Liberation Sangram” and said that the campaign extends from Makran coastal region to the Koh-e-Suleman mountain range. He claimed that these attacks were carefully coordinated to causing maximum damage to Pakistani security forces and damage to their bases.
BLF said- We are campaigning in big areas
Major Gwahram said in a press statement, “Resistance has entered a new phase. Operation Bam is designed to showcase that Baloch fighters are capable of carrying out a large -scale coordinated campaign in a vast area.” He further said that after the operation is over, BLF will release more information about its results.
BLF’s biggest attack in Pakistan
These attacks have been one of the largest and most coordinated attacks carried out by BLF in recent years, highlighting the ongoing disturbance and separatist tension in the Baloch-Prabhu province. The BLF has long been accusing the Pakistani government of exploiting Balochistan’s resources and depriving its people of basic rights and autonomy.
