In the capital Jaipur, the Tourist Station Police has arrested three vicious thugs who cheated a Japanese tourist who had come to visit Jaipur in December 2022 and cheated him of Rs 29 lakh. Following the complaint received through the Embassy of a foreign tourist after returning to Japan, Jaipur Police registered an FIR and investigated thoroughly and the gang was exposed. Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph disclosed that Asghar Khan (55), Sharif Beg (41) and Qayyum have been arrested in the case of cheating a foreign tourist and the search for other accused is going on.
Actually, Japanese tourist Saso Takeshi came to visit Jaipur in December 2022. Stayed here in a hotel located at Banipark on Kabir Marg. Here, the foreign tourist met auto rickshaw driver Sharif. Driver Sharif, who was speaking in Japanese, asked for a fare of Rs 600 to take the tourist to Jaipur. After roaming around Jaipur the whole day, took me to my friend Asghar’s house in the evening.

There, gold worth about Rs 26 lakh was forcibly purchased from the tourist’s credit card. Then the next day he was sent to Delhi and Rs 3 lakh was again recovered and left at the airport. The tourist was shocked after reaching Japan. After a few days, he gathered courage, reached the embassy and narrated his ordeal. On the basis of the complaint received from there, Jaipur Police registered a case and started investigation and named 6 members of the gang. 4 people have been detained so far. One accused has died and one is yet to be arrested.
