Expansion
The Toyota Innova (Toyota Innova) three-row 7-seater MPV is likely to be launched along with a facelift version soon. A new model of the Innova has recently been spotted testing on the roads of Thailand. After which there is speculation that the existing models sold in the markets may soon be launched with an upgrade.
Toyota had earlier said that it would produce hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) in Thailand from this year and export to other markets as well. This hybrid model from Toyota has also been confirmed to be based on the existing model.
Design and Features
The spy images of the new Toyota model reveal that the character lines of the model are similar to those of the current Innova Crysta MPV. However, there is a significant change in the camouflage (covered) model. There is a small window at the rear of the C-pillar indicating that the model can be used for five passengers.
The Toyota Innova is based on the same body-on-frame chassis that was used for the Fortuner SUV. The new model of Innova that was seen was completely covered with a thick cloth. However, it gets LED tail-lights, roof mounted spoiler with stop lamp and new styling wheels.
may discontinue diesel model
The new Innova is expected to undergo changes in its looks, interiors and technical aspects. The new Toyota Innova is likely to be offered in a front-wheel-drive option thanks to the TNGA platform.
The 2023 Toyota Innova is more likely to be offered in petrol and petrol-hybrid powertrain options. The company may discontinue its diesel engine. This is because Suzuki and Toyota have decided to promote petrol, hybrid, CNG and electric as fuel options in the market.
model available in india
The Toyota Innova Crysta (Toyota Innova Crysta) models sold in India are offered with two engine options. This includes 2.4-litre turbo-diesel and 2.7-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engines. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
Toyota last updated the Innova Crysta model in India in 2020. The Japanese carmaker had discontinued the 2.8-litre 1GD-FTV diesel engine and replaced it with a 2.4-litre turbo diesel unit due to BS-VI emission norms.
