Traffic diversion has been implemented in Old Lucknow due to the royal zari procession that comes out on the occasion of the first Moharram. After seeing the moon, this diversion will be effective from 7 pm on June 27/28 and will continue till the procession ends.
This royal procession will start from Bada Imambara police station area and pass through the route of Rumigate Police Outpost Chauraha, Ghantaghar Tiraha, Sheeshamahal, Satkhanda Tiraha, Rais Manzil and Chhota Imambara police station area. This diversion scheme has been implemented by the concerned departments to streamline traffic management on the path of the procession.
Keeping this in mind, the residents and visitors have been advised to avoid the prescribed routes from 7 pm to the end of the procession. Also, the police and traffic departments have provided guidance on alternative routes to avoid any inconvenience during the procession.
