Kolkata. Police have arrested a man in the case of rape and murder of a trainee woman doctor who was on duty at the government RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata. The body of the trainee doctor was found at RG Kar Medical College on Friday. A case was registered in this matter at Tala police station in Kolkata. The postmortem report of the trainee woman doctor says that there were injury marks on her body. Blood was flowing from her private parts. Blood also came out of her eyes and mouth. Injury marks were also found on the stomach, left leg, neck, right hand and lips. The neck bone of the trainee woman doctor was also found broken.
According to the information, the person arrested by Kolkata Police in the case of murder of the female trainee doctor is an outsider. It is being said about this person that he used to visit every department of RG Kar Medical College. Police is gathering more information about the incident by interrogating him. According to the reports received so far, the accused targeted the woman between 3 and 6 am on Friday morning. The trainee doctor was in the chest diseases department. She was a second year student. It is being told that she was put on duty on Thursday night in RG Kar Medical College. After having dinner at night, the trainee doctor went upstairs and it is being reported that she was raped and then murdered in the seminar hall of the emergency building.
After the body of the female doctor was found, her father had alleged that his daughter was raped and then murdered, but efforts are being made to suppress the truth. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee called the parents of the trainee doctor. Mamata Banerjee has assured that appropriate and strict action will be taken in this case. After the body of the female doctor was found in RG Kar Medical College, student organizations also took out a protest rally. BJP has demanded a magisterial inquiry in this case. At the same time, TMC MP Shantanu Sen said that his party wants an impartial and detailed investigation.
