This feature of Truecaller can check calls in real time. This AI based call scanner will check the calls coming on the user’s mobile in real time and find out whether the voice in the call is real or the voice has been generated through AI. The company has shared information about this feature from its X handle. According to the Truecaller blog, this AI call scanner feature records the caller’s voice in the incoming call for a few seconds and checks whether the voice is real or not.
Truecaller said that for this, the company has used an in-house AI model, which has been trained to detect the difference between human speech and the voice produced by AI. This feature of Truecaller is currently only for premium users and they can use it on Android smartphones. For this, they will have to update the Truecaller app installed on their phone with the latest V14.6.
