New York: The political temperature has risen in the US regarding the presidential election. Former US President and Republican Party candidate Donald Trump seems to be backing out from debating with his Democratic Party rival and current Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump has questioned the importance of this possible debate and said that he will “probably” debate, but he “can also argue not to do so.” Harris’s team retorted to this statement of Trump and said that he is “scared.”

answered with patience

In an interview aired on Fox News Channel, Trump was questioned several times about debating with Harris, but he responded with more restraint than in recent times. Republican candidate Trump was ready to debate with the current President and then Democratic candidate Joe Biden. But, after Biden’s exit from the race and Harris’s appearance, Trump has questioned the terms of the original debate with Biden.

Trump said this

Trump has suggested that the proposed September 10 debate on ABC News be held on some other network. He has called ABC “fake news”. In a phone conversation with reporters last week, Trump was asked if he would debate with Harris at least once. He replied, “Yes, absolutely. I would like to do that.” Trump said that debating is an obligation.

‘I want to argue’

“I would like to debate, everybody knows who I am and now people know who he is,” Trump said during an interview last Monday when asked repeatedly by host Laura Ingraham about a debate. “The answer is yes, I would probably debate,” the former president concluded. He said any debate should take place before early voting begins in states, and then added, “The answer is yes, but I could also make an argument not to do it.” (AP)
