Nagaur. On Friday, National Democratic Party President and Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal raised an important matter under Rule 377 for re -starting the mining of Tungsten in the Degana area of Nagaur district and other minerals available there. MP Beniwal informed the House that “the Revat Pahari region of Dagana has confirmed important minerals such as neobium-pancrem and tin, including Tungsten and Lithium in the Revat Pahari region of Degana. He said that at present, mining is not accepted in the Degana region, but the survey conducted in G3 and G2 stages has recorded significant availability of these minerals. According to the information received:
Tungsten: 13.39 million tonnes (@800 ppm cut-off)
Lithium: 6.33 million tonnes (@400 ppm cut-off)
Neobium-tantlam: 16.42 million tonnes (@100 ppm cut-off)
Tin: 0.15 million tonnes (@400 ppm cut-off)
The MP said that it is clear from the above information that there are high quality and rare minerals in the Degana region. He insisted that if commercial mining of these minerals is started, it will not only promote local employment and economic development, but will also strengthen India’s mineral self -sufficiency.
Therefore, MP Hanuman Beniwal demanded the central government that the process of re -starting Tungsten mining in Degana region should be given priority. In this direction, necessary steps should be taken soon for approval, environmental approval and investment incentive of mining leases. Along with this, he also urged to make a special plan to develop Nagaur district as a mineral -based industrial area.
