Ujjain (Naiduniya Representative). On Mahashivratri, Deepotsav will be celebrated in the form of Shiva Jyoti Arpanam in Dharmadhani. The administration is preparing to set a world record by lighting 13 lakh lamps simultaneously on the banks of Mokshadayini Shipra. The program was rehearsed on Friday evening. In the presence of the team of Guinness Book of World Records, two people lit 225 lamps in 10 minutes.
Blocks have been made by the Municipal Corporation on the Shipra coast for a world record. The volunteers will light a lamp by placing a lamp in each block. The Guinness Book team lit the lamp on Friday to see how many people can light the lamp in how many times. The members of the team gave instructions to rectify the shortcomings which are coming. In the rehearsal for lighting the lamps, two people have lit 225 lamps in 10 minutes.
Grand archway to be built at Shanti Palace Tirahe
On Mahashivratri, a grand archway will be built at Shanti Palace Tirahe. Devotees coming from outside to attend Shiva marriage festival will be welcomed by the girls by applying tilak. The road will be decorated with flowers and rangolis. A colorful flag, shady stage and LED screen will be installed in the surrounding area. Refreshments and Mahaprasadi will also be arranged for the devotees.
Collector gave instructions in the meeting
Collector Ashish Singh gave necessary directions to the officers in the review meeting of Deepotsav on Friday at Simhastha Mela office. The Collector said that 400 volunteers from different districts and 500 nodals and supervisors would be involved. It has been made mandatory for all officers, employees, volunteers and supervisors to have ID cards. The Collector said that a target has been set to light 21 lakh lamps in the city. Out of this, a world record will be created by lighting 13 lakh lamps simultaneously at different ghats of Shipra.
Lokotsav at Mangalnath Ghat of Shipra
On Mahashivratri, a Lokotsav along with Deepotsav will be organized by the Mahant family at the Mangalnath Ghat of Shipra with the help of the district administration. 11 thousand lamps will be lit at the ghat. After this, the artists will perform singing, instrumental and folk dance on the cultural stage. The Mahant family has requested the devotees to participate in the Deepotsav.
