The film ‘The Kashmir Files’, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, has performed well at the box office. It has united people and emerged as one of the biggest hits of Bollywood. Now this film is going to release in UAE. Director Vivek Agnihotri said the film passed after four weeks of investigation in an Islamic country, while some Indians are calling the film Islamophobic.
‘The Kashmir Files’ has crossed the Rs 250 crore mark worldwide at the box office. Now in a major achievement, the film has been cleared in UAE without any cuts. The film will soon release in Singapore as well. Vivek Agnihotri took to Twitter to share the news with his fans and followers.
He wrote, “It’s a big win. Censored clearance from UAE. That too rated 15+ without any cuts. Releasing on 7th April (Thursday). Now the next number is from Singapore,” he wrote. ‘
Speaking on the victory in the UAE, the director also responded to those who have termed the film as ‘Islamophobic’. He said, “In India, some people are calling it Islamophobic, but an Islamic country has passed it for 0 cut and 15+ audience after 4 weeks of scrutiny. In India it is for 18+.”
Apart from this, Vivek Agnihotri spoke about those opposing the film and insisted that The Kashmir Files is about humanity. He said, ‘The same thing happened in Singapore, where it took about three weeks. There were plenty of representations from Muslim groups, but then their head of censors said there was nothing objectionable in the film. Everyone should see it. The same is the case with the United Arab Emirates. Checked many times but they all are saying that this movie is about humanity. This film is against terrorism so everyone should see it. But some people in India who are opposing it without seeing it. Calling it Islamophobic. They are either part of terrorist groups or they have a bad mind.
