Udaipur in the shadow of fear, schools closed till further orders, government on alert mode


Jaipur. The violence that erupted on Friday after a fight between school children in Udaipur, a city considered peaceful in Rajasthan, has been brought under control for now. The Bhajanlal government of the state has come on alert mode to deal with the situation. The city of lakes is completely under the shadow of bayonets. Police is deployed at every nook and corner of the city. Top officials of the police and administration are keeping an eye on every moment’s activities. The child injured by the knife attack is being treated at MB Hospital. His condition is said to be stable. A heavy police contingent is also deployed at the hospital.

After the violence in Udaipur, the internet will remain closed till 10 pm tonight. The schools in the city will remain closed till further orders. Police and administration officials were busy trying to calm the situation throughout the night. First a high level meeting was held at the administrative level. Later the police and administration talked to various parties. To prevent the riots from increasing further, a large additional police force from Jaipur as well as the districts around Udaipur has reached Udaipur. The police administration is trying to ensure that there is no riot again today. A strong strategy is being worked out for this.
