Ukraine attacked Russian territory (File)
Moscow: Several months after two years of war, Ukraine has suddenly become very aggressive towards Russia. The Ukrainian army attacked several areas of Russia with drones overnight. This spread panic in many areas of Russia. People started running towards safe places to save their lives. Russian officials gave this information. The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that its air defense system “destroyed” 75 drones in several areas.
These drones were fired in several regions including Belgorod, Krasnodar, Kursk, Oryol, Rostov, Voronezh and Ryazan, which are areas bordering Ukraine. The statement said that one of these drones was shot down over the Sea of Azov. According to the ministry, 36 drones were destroyed in Russia’s Rostov region. Rostov Governor Vasily Golubev said in a statement released online that Ukraine had attacked the region with a total of 55 drones. However, he did not clarify how many of these drones were shot down and how many reached their targets.
Many warehouses were damaged
The governor said that the Ukrainian drone attack damaged warehouses in Morozovsk and Kamensky districts. Ukraine’s ‘General Staff’ said in a Facebook post on Saturday that the Ukrainian army attacked an airport in Morozovsk. Fuel depots in Belgorod, Kursk and Rostov regions were also destroyed. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Force said on Saturday that Russia attacked Ukraine at night with 29 Shahid drones and four missiles. (AP)
