Summary
Ukraine’s youngest parliamentarian has once again appealed to the world for help to face Russia’s attack. Appealing to India to reconsider relations with Russia, he also thanked the Modi government for the humanitarian help.
Ukraine is currently facing the onslaught of Russia and is seeking help from the world. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s youngest MP Svyatoslav Yurash has also made a similar appeal. According to a report by news agency ANI, Yurash said that the Western countries have taken the right steps after looking at all the options. The reality is that it will take time for their effect to be visible. We don’t have time so we are fighting Russia.
Yurash has said that we have got a lot of help when it comes to relations with the West. We are grateful for this. But nothing is enough. Nothing is too much. We need help and anyone who wants to help is welcome. Regarding the discussion on establishing peace between Russia and Ukraine, Yurash has said that it depends on the Kremlin. If the Kremlin continues this stand, we will continue to fight.
‘India is one of the countries that decide the future of the century’
He said that we want to protect our fundamental rights which our ancestors protected. Regarding India’s role in this struggle, Urash said that India is among those countries which will decide the future of this century. As far as India’s position on Russian relations is concerned, we are grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for speaking to our President. We are also grateful for the humanitarian assistance that India is providing to Ukraine.
‘India should reconsider relations with Russia’
The Ukrainian MP said that as far as India-Russia are concerned, you have a treaty on strategic friendship and partnership. I think that the treaty should be reconsidered not only with regard to Ukraine but all the wrongdoings that Putin has been doing for the last 20 years. It is imperative that India takes steps against Russia. He said that in Ukraine at this time every person is a soldier, everyone needs to find their rightful place.
