Foreign Minister Lavrov said the plan to acquire nuclear weapons under the leadership of Ukrainian President Zelensky would basically be a major threat to neighboring countries and international security. It is necessary to answer this. US President Joe Biden also understands this danger very well. He is a veteran and has already said that war is the only alternative to sanctions. Lavrov’s remarks were a warning to countries imposing sanctions on Russia.
Lavrov said Russia was prepared for sanctions but did not expect Western countries to impose sanctions on its players, journalists and cultural figures. The Russian President has put his nuclear forces on high alert after seeing increasing tension with the West. On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared the Russian shelling in Kharkiv a war crime.
talks with Ukraine will continue
Lavrov also said that the continuation of talks with Ukraine will continue. The first round of meetings between the two countries on Monday for peace, however, remained inconclusive. After this, both the sides have once again agreed to sit together to find a way to reconciliation.
