During the hearing, a bench headed by Chief Justice NV Ramana asked Venugopal to ensure the return of Fatima Ahana, a resident of Bengaluru, and other medical students, who are stranded on the Romanian border.
Petitioner student will return home today, Scindia spoke
On this Venugopal told the Supreme Court that Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has contacted the petitioner student stranded on the Ukraine border. This student has now crossed the Romania border. He will be brought home along with other Indians tonight by special aircraft.
Praise for bringing back 17 thousand people
The apex court was told by the government that 17 thousand Indians have been brought from the war areas of Ukraine so far. Justice AS Bopanna and Justice Hima Kohli are also included in the hearing bench. The bench said that we appreciate the efforts of the central government, we are not saying anything about it, but we are concerned. The Supreme Court is hearing two petitions regarding the evacuation of Indians from Ukraine.
