Russia has attacked Ukraine by underestimating it, but now Ukrainians have made their unity a wall of invincible resistance and forced the Russian attackers to chew gram. The thing that attracts the most attention in this war is the courage of the women who took up arms for the defense of the country.
Ukraine was coined by women and now the backbone in the war
Either an economist, a lawyer, a poet or a journalist, the aim is the one end of the enemy.Ukraine is the only country in the world where the population of women is more than that of men. There are 100 females for 86 males. In the journey from independence till now, women have always irrigated Ukraine with their power. Ukrainian women’s resistance is not limited to the social level alone. Two years ago, when Russian-backed rebels began carrying out terrorist attacks, many ordinary women took up arms to defend their country. Even today, among these educated women who are taking up arms, there is an economist, a lawyer, a poet or a journalist, but now they all have the same aim… to protect the country. Some of them became snipers (military shooters), some war doctors and some completely soldiers.
Military role increased after the annexation of Crimea in 2014
Although women had been in the Ukrainian army since 1993, their work was limited and had never participated in military operations. But after Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014, Ukraine began to feel their need. Due to this, in 2016 he was given the right to fight in the war. Two years later, in 2018, the role of military vehicle gunner, infantry commander and sniper, ensuring the same rights and roles as male soldiers.
22.5% more women deployed than America
According to the figures of 2020, at present more than 31 thousand women were posted in the armed forces. By March last year, their number in the active force increased to 22.5 percent, while in a powerful country like America, only 14.4 percent of the army was women.
21% participation in Parliament, vast Russia also lags behind
Ukrainian women have also been the pivot of society, politics and democracy. In the last election, 21 percent of the seats in Parliament remained in his name. On the other hand, if we look at the invading Russia, there are only 16 percent women in political positions, then they have a very limited role in the army, which is much less than in many countries.
Unmatched example of strength and morale
Ukrainian women have set an unmatched example of fighting power. An elderly woman scolding Russian soldiers on the street and giving them sunflower seeds has become a historic event.

Kira Rudik, MP and Leader, Voice Party: Putin didn’t think Russia would have to fight women
The world assumed that it was only a matter of 48 hours, Russia would capture Kyiv and the game was over. This is where Vladimir Putin made a mistake, thinking that his soldiers had to fight only with Ukrainian men. Under this, after planning and deployed his army. But Putin could not judge Ukraine completely. They saw only male soldiers, while twice as many women are ready to take up arms and risk their lives.
- Today thousands of women have stood up to fight against Putin to defend their country. The families of so many women were threatened and but we were determined to give a befitting reply to an ‘eccentric’ dictator. The women have taken up rifles to save their soil.
Women’s power is standing on the frontsOn many fronts, our male soldiers as well as female soldiers have stood up equally fearlessly. Millions of women have also become refugees to save children.
Women open front against enemy
I appeal to women to send their children to a safe place and come to take the front against the enemy, because other countries may need military help but we have to fight on the battlefield by ourselves.
I thought that a soldier is also a common man like us, son of a family, brother or husband, then why so much difference between us and them. If there is a crisis in the country, it is everyone’s responsibility that every citizen becomes a soldier. The current situation in Ukraine is related to the common Ukrainian and its present, future. My territory was completely isolated and had nothing to do with the army. But as a common citizen or a woman, I took up arms, even if only symbolic, to inspire the people of the country. So that the message goes to millions of people that this is our fight.
- Ukrainian women have always walked side by side with men. His unwavering spirit of fighting against the odds of war has shown that no one can stop us. We will not hesitate to kill anyone who tries to capture.
Kyiv is ours, won’t let anyone take overI was born in Kyiv, grew up here and this is our city, will not let anyone take over it. We will not hesitate to kill anyone who has entered or will enter our country with the intention of taking possession.
Many women and children lost their lives in the attack
Many women and children have also lost their lives in the beatings of Putin’s soldiers. Ukrainians did not wage this war, we are innocent and are sacrificing our lives to save our land. The enemy will have to bear the brunt of it. I want to say this to all the countries of the world that you unite and stop the death of innocents.
