Lucknow. Renowned author Shantanu Gupta, who has written two bestseller novels on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has now launched his new graphics based novel – “Ajay to Yogi Adityanath” for young readers. This graphical novel was launched in 51+ schools of Uttar Pradesh on 5th June on Yogi Adityanath’s 51st birthday. On this occasion, Public Works Department Minister Jitin Prasad along with the writer, hundreds of children of Lucknow’s ‘Seth Anandram Jaipuria School’ and others were present. The video message of Education Minister Sandeep Singh was also included in the programme. Also, this record launching ceremony was attended by more than 5000 children from 51+ schools from different districts of Uttar Pradesh. It was the first time that a children’s book was launched simultaneously at multiple locations by so many participants. This is the reason that this launching ceremony has also made a place in the Asia Book of Records.
Mention of journey from struggle to peak
Sharing details about this novel, Gupta said that ‘Ajay to Yogi Adityanath’ is actually the journey of Ajay Singh Bisht, a young boy born in the hinterlands of Uttarakhand along with six other siblings. His father Anand Singh Bisht was a junior forest officer and mother Savitri Devi was a homemaker. Ajay was fond of taking care of the family cows, listening to stories of freedom fighters and participating in school debates since his childhood. They all lived in a one and a half room house in a remote village named Panchur in present-day Uttarakhand. It was from here that Ajay became the Mahant of the Gorakhnath Math, after which he set out on a journey to become the youngest member of the Indian Parliament and the Chief Minister of India’s most populous state, Uttar Pradesh.
Novel will develop basic qualities in students
The author further added that ‘Ajay to Yogi Adityanath’ will pave the way for the students to emerge victorious in their future by inculcating the qualities of patience, determination and hard work. It is a compilation of inspiring memoirs told by Yogi’s father, the late Anand Singh Bisht, his mother Savitri Devi, his friends from Panchur village, classmates and teachers from his colleges in Kotdwar and Rishikesh, and comrades.
