New Delhi. UP Board class 10th and 12th exam results were declared today. Shubham Verma, resident of Sitapur, has topped the entire state in the 12th examination with 97.80 percent marks. Whereas in the 10th examination, Prachi Nigam of Sitapur has secured the first position with 98.50 percent marks. The special thing is that both Shubham and Prachi are from Sita Bal Vidya Mandir Inter College, Mahmudabad Sitapur. Students can check their results by visiting the official website of UP Board, upresults.nic.in or result.upmsp.edu.in.
The result of class 10th was 89.55 percent in which the pass percentage of girls was 93.40 and the pass percentage of boys was 86.05. Whereas the result of class 12th was 82.60 percent in which 88.42 percent girls and 77.78 percent boys passed. The pass percentage of girls in class 10th was 7.35 percent higher than that of boys, while the pass percentage of girls in class 12th was 10.6 percent higher. Vishnu Choudhary of Baraut, Kajal Singh of Amroha and Kashish Maurya of Sitapur are jointly second in the 12th examination. Deepika Sonkar stood second in the 10th class examination. While Navika Singh, Swati Singh and Dipanshi Singh Sengar jointly secured the third position.
Announcing the results through a press conference from the board’s headquarters in Prayagraj, UP Board Secretary Divyakant Shukla said that this year more than 55 lakh students had registered for the UP Board examination. A total of 29 lakh 99 thousand 507 candidates were registered in high school, while 25 lakh 25 thousand 801 candidates were registered in intermediate. Of these, approximately 3 lakh 24 thousand candidates had left the examination due to some reasons. UP Board’s high school and intermediate examinations were conducted between 22 February and 9 March. A total of 3 crore 1 lakh answer sheets were evaluated at 259 centres. Not only this, the evaluation process was completed in a record 12 days.
