According to the news, under the new education policy in UP Board from the next session, education will be conducted from 9th to 12th. Under this, now there will be no board exams for class 10th and 12th. Instead, exams will be taken in 8 semesters from 9th to 12th. Apart from this, an important decision has also been taken that now the sections of Science, Commerce and Arts will be abolished. Under this, students from 9th to 12th will be able to take any subject of any class.
Till now, in UP Board too, like other boards, after completion of 9th and 10th class, the board examination in 10th class has been conducted by combining the syllabus of both the classes. After this, 12th board exam is taken by combining the 11th and 12th syllabus. After passing 10th, the student had to choose Science, Commerce or Arts stream in 11th. Under the new education policy, there will no longer be separate board exams. Instead of these, students will be able to appear in semester system from 9th to 12th by taking any subject of any class. This will improve the preparation of students. There will be 50 marks of questions in the semester related to practicals. Out of these, questions of 20 marks will have to be given on OMR sheet. Answers to the remaining 50 marks questions will have to be written. In this also students will be given options.
Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Joint Education Director of Lucknow Division, told Amar Ujala that the new education policy is being fully implemented in the Secondary Education Department from 2023. Many plans are also being made for this in the new year. With the implementation of the semester system, students will be given a certificate of overall personality.
