UP Election Result 2022: After a month-long political battle, the results of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections will be declared on Thursday. Counting of votes will begin at 8 am on Thursday. Electively, the state saw a multi-cornered contest with the ruling BJP, SP, Congress and BSP as the major contenders. The Apna Dal (Sonelal) led by Anupriya Patel has been a part of the BJP alliance. He contested elections on 18 seats. The Nishad Party also contested the UP elections in alliance with the BJP. At the same time, the SP formed an alliance with the Rashtriya Lok Dal. Apart from this, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party also caught the hand of SP.
The majority mark in the 403-member assembly is 202. BJP government is being formed in exit polls. On the other hand, the SP, which is contesting the elections along with the RLD and some other parties, will improve its performance. Even after polling ended, Uttar Pradesh’s election fever intensified on Tuesday with Akhilesh Yadav alleging manipulation of EVM machines. SP workers protested over this issue.
Looking at the last assembly elections, the BJP along with its alliance partners got 325 seats. Apna Dal and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party were part of the BJP alliance. BJP alone won 312 seats. While Apna Dal got 9 seats and SBSP got 4 seats. The SP was reduced to 47 seats. Congress was reduced to only 7 seats, BSP 19 seats and RLD 1 seat.
Now Ayodhya is the constituency which is making the most headlines in this election. The reason for this is the construction of Ram temple. Meanwhile, the state government has banned the sale and operation of liquor across the state on the result day. Elections were held in seven phases from February 10 to March 7 to elect all 403 members of the UP Legislative Assembly. The results will be declared on March 10.
