There were more than 10 seats in UP where Congress got less votes than NOTA. Talking about the vote share of UP, 637,304 people voted on the NOTA button, which was 0.7% of the total vote share.

While BSP got only one seat, Congress got two seats. Many Congress candidates have forfeited their deposits. At the same time, some candidates got less votes than NOTA.

NOTA has also run a lot in the assembly elections. Choosing the option of ‘None of these’ i.e. NOTA proved to have a big impact on the results of many seats. When voters could not take any decision about the candidate and the parties, people used NOTA.
In Badaun district of UP, all the six Vidhan Sabhas, 9,87 people have voted for NOTA. Because of this, the candidates of Congress and Aam Aadmi Party had to bear special losses. Similarly, in the counting of votes in 10 assembly seats of Kanpur, there were 46 such candidates who could get less votes than NOTA.
Those candidates who got less votes than NOTA
The daughter of poet Munawwar Rana, who talked about leaving UP when Yogi became CM, got less votes than NOTA.
Rana’s daughter Urusa Rana was the Congress candidate from Purva of Unnao. They are only fifth in the results.
He got less votes than NOTA. Here 812 votes were cast in NOTA’s field.
Subhash Chandra got 1031 votes in Aliganj seat of Etah. Whereas NOTA got 1263 votes.
Congress had fielded Sarita Dohare from Auraiya seat, but she got 1143 votes and 1192 votes in favor of NOTA.
Similarly, Congress candidate Bhagwan Das got only 3323 votes from Mauranipur seat of Jhansi district.
Whereas from this seat people have cast 3471 votes on NOTA.
In Babaganj seat of Pratapgarh district, 1501 people voted for Veena Rani while 1959 people voted in favor of NOTA.
Congress also lost by NOTA in Firozabad constituency. NOTA got 1198 votes while Congress candidate Sandeep Tiwari could get 1131 votes.
Congress candidate Laxminarayan got only 1894 votes in Banda seat. Whereas 1991 votes were cast on NOTA. BJP’s Prakash Dwivedi has got 81,557 votes from here.
Hemlata was in the field on Congress ticket from Ayah Shah assembly seat of Fatehpur district, she got 1753 votes while 1884 people voted in favor of NOTA.
Congress candidate Gajendra Singh Patel could get only 2112 votes in Baberu seat. Whereas 3047 votes were cast on NOTA.
Congress candidate Pawan Devi also got less votes than NOTA in Naraini seat. While he got 1806 votes, 3,420 votes were cast on NOTA.
Which party got less votes than NOTA?
The Aam Aadmi Party, which won a record victory in Punjab, had a very poor performance in UP. The party has not won a single seat in the Uttar Pradesh elections. Its vote share on Thursday evening was less than that of NOTA.
The party’s vote share stood at 0.35 per cent as of 7 pm on Thursday, according to the Election Commission data. Whereas, 0.69 per cent of the total votes polled till 7 pm was NOTA.
Similarly, in the assembly elections of Goa, Uttar Pradesh and Manipur, the Shiv Sena has suffered a crushing defeat. In these elections, the party got less votes than NOTA. In Goa, Shiv Sena had fielded its candidates on 10 seats and all have forfeited their deposits.
Shiv Sena got less than 100 votes in four seats in Goa. Shiv Sena got only 0.18 percent votes while NOTA got 1.12 percent votes in Goa.
