Summary
A fire broke out in a passenger train going from Saharanpur to Delhi at Daurala station in Meerut. There was panic due to the fire incident. However, the passengers of the coach which caught fire immediately got out. Thankfully there was no major accident.

A major fire broke out in two coaches of the Saharanpur to Delhi passenger train at Daurala station in Meerut on Saturday morning. As soon as smoke started rising from the coach with the blast, the passengers started coming out of the coach. According to railway officials, prima facie there was a fire in the coach due to short circuit. Fortunately, the train was standing at Daurala station.
The train had reached Daurala station at 7.10 am. As usual, daily commuters were waiting for the train to arrive. A large number of Delhi employed passengers travel by this train. Immediately after the fire broke out in the coach, the passengers started getting out of the other coach. However, the fire had spread completely in the coach. At the time of writing the news, arrangements were not made to douse the fire.
Many trains affected
The Delhi-Meerut route has also been affected after a fire broke out in the Saharanpur-Delhi passenger at Daurala railway station. In the morning, many important trains go to Dehradun and Delhi via Meerut. The most important train running between Delhi to Dehradun is Shatabdi. Shatabdi has been stopped at Meerut City Station. Apart from this, Shalimar Express going from Jammu to Delhi via Meerut has been stopped at Sakauti station. At the same time, Nauchandi Express going from Prayagraj to Meerut and Saharanpur has also been stopped at the city station. Apart from this, many other trains have also been stopped at Muzaffarnagar Khatauli station. Due to the strong wind, the work of extinguishing the fire is being hampered.
